Minimum Educational Qualification

• Three (3) years full time Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical / Power Engineering from any institute, recognized by AICTE or UGC.
• BOE certificate would be required for Power Plant Operation positions.
• Diploma holders in above discipline from R D Tata Technical Education Centre, Jamshedpur, and J N Tata Technical Education Centre, Gopalpur and Tata Steel Technical Institute, Burmamines are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates with Part Time/Correspondence/Distance Learning will not be eligible.

Mandatory Experience

Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a Steel & Sponge Iron Plant as on 1st Nov 2024 after acquiring diploma certificate.

Marks

• Minimum 55% marks aggregate in Diploma Engineering for General candidates.
• Minimum 50% marks aggregate in Diploma Engineering for Female/ SC/ ST/ Transgender/PwD candidates.

Age

• Should have been born on or after, 1st Nov 1992 for General candidates.
• Should have been born on or after, 1st Nov 1989 for Female/ SC/ ST/ Transgender/ PwD candidates.

Salary

The selected candidates will be provisionally placed at starting Basic Salary of Rs. 10,500/- pm with CTC
of Rs. 4.44 LPA and will be designated as Senior O&M Associate – I (GH-D1 grade). The other
emoluments and benefits will be as per Company’s rule applicable to this grade.
Candidates possessing 4 years or more of relevant experience will be additionally compensated as per
norms.

Selection Procedure

1.  Eligible candidates will have to appear for Written test and interview process. Each stage will be an
elimination stage.
2. Eligible candidates, who are currently employed with Tata Group Company/Subsidiaries/Associate
Company will need to furnish an NOC from the present employer before being considered for
employment in Tata Steel. The NOC must be produced at the time of interview.
3. All selected candidates will have to be declared medically fit as per Company’s medical fitness
standard, before their appointment.
4. All selected candidates will undergo Background verification as per Company’s standard, before their
appointment.
5. No reimbursement will be made to the candidates in this process.
6. Candidates who are found ineligible as per the laid down criteria at any stage of selection process will
be immediately disqualified from further selection process.
7. Canvassing in any form will automatically disqualify a candidate.
8. Female and Transgenders candidates are encouraged to apply.

Placement

1.  Selected candidates will be placed against vacancies, as per their qualification, suitability of their
knowledge and skills.
2. The selected candidates may be placed and/or transferred to any other locations of Tata Steel Ltd. Or
its group companies or subsidiaries during their employment.
